Root Solutions for Women’s Health

Functional Medicine is a personalized, systems-oriented model that empowers patients and practitioners to achieve the highest expression of health by working in collaboration to address the underlying causes of disease.

~ The Institute for Functional Medicine

Krista uses this holistic approach to healthcare to support and empower women as they navigate the many stages and transitions in their lives. She strives to create and nurture a therapeutic relationship with each woman she meets, establishing a relationship based on mutual respect and trust that allows for safety and comfort. Krista believes in the principles of functional medicine, which include addressing the whole person rather than just treating symptoms, as well as listening to each person’s unique history to examine the interactions between genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health. She also understands that when patients and practitioners work in collaboration to address the underlying causes of discomfort and disease and patients take an active role in their own health, the results can be life-changing. By applying this patient-centered approach with each woman she meets, Krista provides healthcare that is respectful of individual values and needs. Whether a woman is struggling with hormonal issues, infertility, preconception or pregnancy concerns, postpartum issues or general well-being, Krista’s goal is to help guide her as she seeks her own personal harmony.

Krista can see patients for a variety of women’s health-related concerns including, but not limited to:

• General women’s wellness
• Menstrual cycle concerns
• Perimenopause/Menopause
• Infertility
• Health during pregnancy
• Postpartum health/healing
• Preconception care
• PMS
• PCOS
• Chronic vaginal/urinary tract infections
• Acne
• Contraception counseling/prescriptions

“Regardless of our individual circumstances, our pasts, or our ages, each of us has inner guidance available that we can tune in to in order to create the vibrant health-now.”
